The Château de Keriolet is in Concarneau, in the heart of southern Finistère, and the civil ceremony will be held in Quimper. Whether you come by car, train or plane, here is everything you need to reach the venues on the day and explore the region afterwards.
By road
By car
This is the most flexible option to enjoy Finistère at your own pace. Parking is available on site at the château. Generally speaking, parking is fairly easy across Finistère.
From Quimper / Lorient
Take the RN 165 dual carriageway (Lorient–Quimper), exit at "Coat Conq", then follow the "Château de Keriolet" signs as you enter Concarneau. Note that the château entrance is via rue de Stang Al Lin, not rue de Keriolet (which leads to the back of the château). View directions.
Parking
Parking on site at the château. For the ceremony in Quimper, park at the Tourbie car park (free) or the Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny car park (paid). There are also paid spaces along the quays, depending on your luck. As a last option, the A. Le Pennec car park (free) is about a 10-minute walk from the town hall.
By rail
By train
A good option from Paris, Rennes or Nantes to reach Quimper. A car connection is needed to get to Concarneau, so we recommend renting one. Otherwise, Uber and taxis are available in Quimper (fare around €50).
Quimper station, the easiest (25 km)
A well-served TGV station from Paris, Rennes and Nantes. Car rental or taxi onward to Concarneau. The simplest option when coming from afar. Quimper Town Hall is a 10-minute walk from the station. Book a ticket.
By air
By plane
Several airports serve the region. A rental car is recommended on arrival to reach Concarneau and explore southern Finistère.
Brest-Bretagne, the closest (~1 hr)
A medium-sized airport with connections to major European cities, about an hour's drive to Quimper.
Nantes, at the edge of Brittany (~2 hrs)
A medium-sized airport with connections to major European cities and a few international destinations, about two hours' drive to Quimper. You can also take the train from Nantes, reaching the station in the city centre (30-min shuttle + 2-hr train).
Paris, for those coming from afar (~4 hrs)
A large airport with connections worldwide. The easiest way is to take a train to Quimper from Gare Montparnasse, or directly from Roissy station with connections (pricier and longer).
Once there
Getting around locally
The château is 5 minutes drive from the Ville Close. Bus line 3 serves the area, but a car is still recommended to reach the beaches and surrounding villages. Public transport is fairly limited, and the car remains the number one option.
Car-sharing between guests
We can put you in touch with other guests to share cars and rides, especially from the station. A great way to get to know each other before the wedding!
Good to know
The wedding takes place in early June, at the start of Brittany's high season. Remember to book your train tickets and car rentals early. There are several rental companies in Quimper, but prices are better if you book ahead. We also recommend checking rental options at shopping centres (Leclerc, Hyper U), which offer good rates.
